HCA provides students with formal concert attire each school year, with uniform fittings scheduled in October.
There are two options for uniforms: a tuxedo option, and a dress option.
HCA provides the following garments:
Tuxedo option: black tuxedo jacket and pants, black bow tie, black cummerbund, white tuxedo shirt, and garment bag
Dress option: black gown and garment bag
Students must supply the following items:
Students must supply their own pair of black, closed-toed dress shoes.
Students wearing dresses must wear black stockings or tights.
Students may accessorize with a necklace or earrings of their choice, but the jewelry must be subtle.
Any dresses or pants that are too long must be taken to Essex Cleaners in Manoa Shopping Center for hemming. Tell them you belong to the Haverford Choral Association and charges will be sent to HCA.
Make every effort to keep your uniform looking neat and professional. Hang clothing when not in use and always transport clothing in your garment bag.
White shirts should be laundered frequently to keep them looking fresh. They are permanent press and require little to no ironing.
Dresses may be washed in cold water in a delicate setting and hung to dry. DO NOT PUT DRESSES IN THE DRYER.
