Kelsey Hendler, Director
Kelsey Hendler graduated from the Schreyer Honors College of the Pennsylvania State University in May of 2015, where she studied choral music education. She studied voice privately and was a member of multiple choral ensembles. While studying at Penn State, Ms. Hendler directed the Discantus women’s ensemble, co-directed the None of the Above A cappella group, and interned with the Nittany Valley Children’s Choir. She was awarded a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at Michigan State University in August 2021. Ms. Hendler directs the Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers at Haverford High School, and teaches sixth and seventh-grade general music at Haverford Middle School. She prepares students for PMEA festivals and advises the Tri-M Music Honor Society. Ms. Hendler is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educator’s Association (PMEA) the Music Educator’s National Conference (MENC), and the American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA). In 2018, Ms. Hendler was the recipient of the ACDA Pennsylvania Chapter’s “Outstanding Young Conductor Award,” which is awarded to a young conductor who has been teaching for three-five years.
