On Thursday, February 14th, 2020, choir students, under the leadership of Choral Council, delivered Singing Valentines across the high school. Over 700 Valentines were sold as a fundraiser for the choir. Congratulations to all participants for a successful day!! See here, here, and here!

On Friday, February 7th, 2020 the Haverford Combined Choirs performed for the Upper Darby Choral Festival. Participating schools included Henderson High School, Interboro High School, Penncrest High School, Springfield High School and Upper Darby High School. The choirs are grateful to Upper Darby director Barbara Benglian for hosting such a terrific evening!!

The Haverford Combined Choirs, comprised of Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers, have recently presented their most prestigious performance for the American Choral Directors Association Eastern Convention in Boston. They were selected by competitive recorded audition. Their twenty-five minute program was heard twice on Saturday, February 13 at 9:00am and 11:00am at the historic Old South Church, Boyleston Street in Boston’s Back Bay area. The group was selected from a huge pool of school and university choir submissions throughout the East Coast. Our choir was the only mixed voice, satb high school choir on the list.!
The convention’s theme was Pushing Boundaries; The Haverford choirs did just that,offering a diverse program of a cappella repertoire from Renaissance to Contemporary vocal jazz.

On February 21st the Haverford Choral Association held their annual Choral Cabaret benefit concert. An evening that showcases the talents of our choral students who perform contemporary numbers individually or in small groups with instrumental accompaniment. The finale of the evening was an outstanding performance by Haverford High School’s award-winning Chamber Choir and Concert Chorale performing Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Will Rock You”.

The Haverford Choral Association thanks everyone who made this event possible; our wonderful volunteers, everyone who donated delicious desserts that so gorgeously filled our intermission buffet tables, the choral students for pulling out the stops and putting on a fantastic show for their audience! And of course, Marsha core, the true heart of this choral program. Without her inspiration and belief in her students, a night like cabaret would not be possible.
